Three on a Thursday #102

Rapid one this week, my dear darling daughter has *finally* gone to sleep.

Just as heads up,I’m going to try and be a smidge more active on the blogging front – I’ve been a bit slack recently, so best sort it out, eh?

Keep your eye peeled, there’s a couple of bits and pieces in the pipeline.

First up is a [proper slice of hip-hop loveliness, for a certified genius of the genre. It seems that for the first time since his untimely death 7 years ago,  J Dilla’s estate have finally quit their legal wranglings long enough to release some of of his tracks from the long lost vocal album, The Diary.

If you know anything about hip-hop, I’ll give you five minutes for you to clean up the mess you’ve just made …

Next is a big bad sound from Gardna and Parly B over a Dr Meaker beat – no, no, it’s called Big Bad Sound.

With head nodding double-time verses interleaved with rootsy bars,  Bristol throws down again with a cracking little skanking number, doesn’t it?
