Excellent, I’m grand as well, thanks for asking.

Sorry, tunes did say?

Yeah I got tunes.

First up this week from the Kings of the Cut and Paste  is  a tune was light years ahead of its time. Say Kids, What Time Is It? was dropped 25 years ago, and *still* sounds as fresh today as it did all that time ago, and if your a fan of Coldcut, you’ll recognise loads of the samples that they’ve reused since then. In honour of this momentous occasion, they’ve just chucked it up on soundcloud for us all to enjoy, so if you were hoarding your copy of the original white label of this to fund your pension, tough titty

I do have a little bit of a soft spot from Aussie Hip-Hop, hence having a rummage through the allaussiehiphop.com website the other day, where I stumbled on this brilliant little number by Rainman. Darlin’ is a classic slice of hip-hop, built around a looped soul sample and a cracking bit of MCing from Calski   Enjoy.

Last up this week is a track from a good friend of the blog, and Bristols very own King Monkey, Parker. Nowhere to Hide is rammed to the rafters with some serious bass, tempered by an epic soul vocal from Sarah Scott. Its the debut release on Parker’s new Monkey Butler label, and is due to drop on the 13th February. As ever, keep ’em peeled for this one
