Ahoy kids, I’m back!
Apologies about the lack of a ToT last week – sadly had to spend 8-9hrs driving to and from visiting a very ill relative and really *really* wasn’t in the right headspace to write anything.
That’s not happened this week though, so we’re back with the beat (and rhymes – yes – it’s a bit hip-hop heavy this week …)
Onwards!

I’ve been in one of those cheerful summer moods this week, largely due to a weekend camping in the Isle of Purbeck for the tenth anniversary of Chilled Cider fuelled by Hecks Kingston Black Scrumpy (thanks Mr Heap) Cuban Cigars (thanks bruv) and some excellent music at the Square and Compass courtesy of Pete Lawrence, with the highlight being The Destroyers, who you should definitely go and see if they end up near you.
Headline props this week must go to Hidden Riddim for bringing the first couple of tracks to my attention – bigs ups sir!
Onwards!

Hmmm, lesson learned today. Trying to brew beer and write a music blog is harder than you think …
After the almighty palaver we’ve had with todays brew, what with stuck sparges, duff thermometers and minor burns, I’m glad I’m only having to listen to tunes now
Oh tunes? Right this way …

It’s been a productive few days recently, and after a baby enforced lull, I’m back in the mix saddle, with a couple of guestie slots lined up – keep your eyes peeled for further news on that tip
Right, pimping over, tunage on!

Bow-chicka-wow – I’m back baby!
Apologies for last week, it was my baby brothers Wedding and the time set aside for writing Three on a Thursday was sucked up by the shuttling of people, picking up of buttonholes and inevitable wedding shenanigans, followed by a stag do for a separate wedding, so by the time I came back up for air it was Tuesday evening and I was nursing the mother of all hangovers …
Never mind, back now.
Shall we?

Wow, I’m on time with a Three on a Thursday, despite dragging myself in from beers in my rather sunny garden. How lucky are you lot?

Evenin’
It’s that time of the week again …
As you might expect, a load of the tracks that I’ve heard this week have been in some way ‘commemorating’ the untimely death of Adam Yauch, aka MCA from the Beastie Boys. Most, to be honest, are weak as fuck bandwagon jumping horseshit, and the people who made ’em should have a bit more respect.
Seriously, absolutely nothing I’ve heard on this tip is much cop at all, so I’m not recommending it.
Right, rant over. On to the tunes.

Wow, second week back after my brief hiatus and I”ve dropped the ball already!
I’ll blame a teething one year old for waking me up so often this week, I was losing track of what day it was …
Meh, one day late, the tunes still bump.

Normal Service has been resumed!
Sorry about the lack of Three on a Thursdays recently, but due to extreme laptop death I’ve been somewhat out of the loop.
Two things this little incident has taught me
1) If you’re a digital DJ, and don’t back your tunes and settings up, you’re a dick. Either get an external hardrive, or back your stuff up to the cloud. I used zovo and it was seamless, an is dirt cheap for the piece of mind it gives me.
b) Never ever bloody anything Asus, ever!
Right, never mind all that – on to the tunes!
