About djsherlockohms
Obsessive music nerd for since his formative years, Sherlock Ohms finally pulled his finger out and started inflicting his collection of Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Reggae, Breaks, Beats and random ephemera on the unwitting public in mid-2008.
Since then he's graced the airwaves of Big Chill FM and Purple Radio, the stages of the Festinho festival, and the DJ booths of the UK fluffing for the likes of DJ Moneyshot, Boca 45 and Ugly Duckling.
Whether it's early morning chilled wig outs, or eclectic party starting beat fests there's a reason they call him 'No Shit Sherlock'
Two in two weeks for you – how’s that for an attempt at being consistent again

Mea Culpa, mea culpa mea maxima culpa.
Gosh, that was a long break wasn’t it?
Contrary to popular belief, I haven’t been beamed up by aliens anally probulated and deposited soaked in craft beer in some Somerset field, nor have I run off to Lhasa to learn to learn the nose-flute – life just got in the way (two kids under 4, and moving house will do that …)
Hopefully, now things have calmed down a little, I can get back to bringing you some of the beats and breaks that’ve been new to my ears this week.

Jesus, what happened there?
Can’t believe it’s been almost 6 weeks since I’ve done one of these – for any of you still out there, no I haven’t given up, I’ve just been hectically busy with family life …
Still, at least I’ve had 6 weeks to find some good tracks eh?

Ahhhh, sweet, sweet music – the one thing this week that’s stopping me from shaving my head, climbing the nearest tall building with a high powered rifle and picking off strangers, due to insane levels of work stress …
(and yes, that’s a vague excuse for the brief hiatus in transmission – sorry to those jonesing for their next fix of odd and eclectic beats)
Nevermind, eh?

Manic dash on this week, so the pre-ToT drivel is mercifully short.
We’ve got a fest of hip-hop, with some UK Royalty on mellow hip-hop duty, some slightly more underground beats and a classic from the vaults.

Another week , another ToT – this week with some classic golden era style hip-hop, something deep and glitchy and something seriously woozy beats.
Hope you enjoy the selections- if you do give me the thumb on Facebook or on WordPress – g’wan, make me feel loved …

Festive binge session over, I’m back with three of the finest tunes to have graced my ugly lugholes since the last one of these was posted – which to be honest an almost embarrassingly long time ago …
