About djsherlockohms
Obsessive music nerd for since his formative years, Sherlock Ohms finally pulled his finger out and started inflicting his collection of Funk, Soul, Hip-hop, Reggae, Breaks, Beats and random ephemera on the unwitting public in mid-2008.
Since then he's graced the airwaves of Big Chill FM and Purple Radio, the stages of the Festinho festival, and the DJ booths of the UK fluffing for the likes of DJ Moneyshot, Boca 45 and Ugly Duckling.
Whether it's early morning chilled wig outs, or eclectic party starting beat fests there's a reason they call him 'No Shit Sherlock'
I don’t usually review albums, but after listening to The Menagerie’s latest slice of hip-hop goodness, Odd Beast I felt the urge …

(This is a bit of an odd post for me, something between a Three on a Thursday, a Mixtape Madness, a review and some random internet sleuthing … take from it what you will…)
There’s been a resurgence of interest in interest in the Situationist Art Project, chart music saboteurs and all round absurdists known sometimes as the KLF ever since the above poster turned up earlier this year hinting at their return.
For those not obsessed with the random meanderings of late 80’s/early 90’s arthouse electronic noise terrorists, I’ll explain.

Apologies for the no show last week, but I was lazing, well getting rained on on the Atlantic Coast of France eating my own bodyweight in saucisson sec and forgetting what day it was (also the wifi was shocking out there …)
Never fear though, as I’m back!

This one will be a bit of a mad dash this week and I’m writing this whilst allegedly packing for the family holiday, and discovering which bits of our camping gear is still covered with Gilcombe Farm mud from a more than slightly soggy, but still awesome FarmFestival.

(Oooops – forgot to hit ‘post’ before I went away for the weekend, so I’ll just jump in the time machine fix it … or just post it as is!)
Bit of a mad rush this week, as I’m off to the wonderful Farmfest in a mo – two days in a sunny (ahahahaha I’ve seen the weather reports) field. Hey, at least the tunes are going to be amazing.

On time and everything eh?
Should you want to hear me do my thing live, I’d spinning a few tunes at the opening of my mates Barbershops – Bearpit Shotgun on Saturday night.

Sorry I missed yesterday – had most of a post prepped and ready to rock your worlds, but was parenting solo and my dear darling hellbats, *ahem*, daughters weren’t playing ball – by the time they were down, I was not in the right place to meander some missives down for you
Am now thought!
ONWARDS!

On time this week eh?
No gigs this weekend as I’m off indulging my other vice – bikes, this time of the vintage variety at Eroica Britannia, riding an ’81 Dawes Imperial …
I thought of doing something themed, but that would’ve meant leaving out some of the tunes I’d already spotted and that wouldn’t have been right, as there are a couple of corkers this week
