After the critical success of Le Discotheque Martydom and it’s associated remix album, Le Discotheque Remixicon, both certified Tin for selling half a dozen copies, the Bastard Sunz, Bristols most deliberately offensive hip hop crew had gone a little quiet. Rumour had it that their lyrical driving force, the one known as B’Tilla the Cunt had disappeared, leaving the boys in the lurch …
In his absence, DJ Rogue, Rola Roc and Milestone recruited SirPlus, Chattabox, Samuel Otis and Repeck BA to create the “Waiting for ‘Tilla E.P.“, serving up five tracks of electro drenched beats stuffed to the brim with the scatalogical bars, displaying the usual distain for the niceties of polite society as you’d come to expect from this sack of reprobates.
Personal highlights being Alligator Laughter & Break Up Song, and as for the little skit at the end of Bastard Redux? boys … I properly chuckled.
If all of that wasn’t enough Bastardry for you, DJ Rogue drops a quality half hour beat tape, Enter the Flagon, on the end of the EP. This is a serious sampling frenzy, with snippets from (unless I’m mistaken) George Carlin, Dogma, Lionel Bart, Bruce Lee, The Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Bill Hicks, V for Vendetta and a whole heap more, over some quality beats.
In their words, IT’S THE BS, SISSIES!
Available for download from Bandcamp on a ‘name your price’ basis
UPDATE: For those of you who were worried, ‘Tilla was found wandering the Downs, in his usual top hat, Mankini and 18″ strap on cock and still clutching his blood-stained teddy bear. Panic over.
