How’s about this for commitment to the cause – I’m on the other side of the world with wife and spawn,  and have ducked out of the sun for an hour to drop a few ‘new-to-me’ tunes on you reprobates, just in time for the weekend.

Most of us who make New Years Resolutions have epically failed by now – fortunately Mr Bird has a bit more sticking power.  His mission? 52 weeks, 52 beats. This ‘ere is beat ‘6 – Get The Funk. Full of wobble, with a sweet synth line, this is the nuts.

I’d been umm-ing and err-ing over this one since last week, partially as the ‘posh boy’ intro irritates the tits off me (fortunately that’s only on the vid …) – get past that, mind, and the beat kicks in and it’s well worth it.
