OK, I’m assuming that it’s Thursday over in the UK, as I’m quite a few timezones away, and more than a smidge hungov …ahem…jetlagged
This Three on a Thursday comes to you via a spare hour on Sunday evening, another couple in Changi Airport in Singapore, and for the final bit, a mates dining room in Adelaide … see, that’s commitment to your musical edification, eh?

Next up is a full bore funk out, from the awesome Mighty Mocambos. As with their Favourite Recordings labelmates The Funk League, they’re bringing back classic funk, with golden era MCs working the mic. Last years album, The Future Is Here is a belter, and my current “can’t get it out of my head” track is Zulu Walk, featuring the grandaddy of hip-hop, Afrika Bambaataa.
Last up is a little bit outside my usual realm for ToT, in that it’s basically a downtempo/ambient house track, with nary a break, nor a beat to be seen, and definitely no whopping great horn line, but it’s beautiful – this is Lusine / Two Dots
