Just in time for the Notting Hill Carnival, one of this blog’s favourite artists hits us with the Bomber Inna Dance E.P., stuffed to the brim with party bangers to rock your speakers.
First up is Handsworth Evolution, a straight up and down party starter which adds a thunderous breakbeat to a quality sample of the Steel Pulse hit, Handsworth Revolution, which should cause chaos on the dance floor.
Rootsy Tuna is reggaeified refix of the Roots Manuva & Chali 2na hip-hop smash Join The Dots. The original of this has been a regular fixture to my sets for a while, so this version switches the track up, and makes the sun shine, and if you’re a fan of the riddim, it’s also been included on the release for mash up fun.
The final track, Kwali-Tea is a mid-tempo reggae-hop number, with a recognisable Rayvon dancehall vocal sliced up with Talib Kweli & Styles P‘s Told You Feel Me tune from last year. Niceness.
As a teaser this last track is available as a free download from Soundcloud now, with the rest of the E.P being dropped over on Junodownload form the 26th August.
